Our lakeside campsite in British Columbia's Paul Lake Provincial Park is perfect for a refreshing swim or to try the nearby white water rafting; Banff's hot springs and Lake Louise are picture perfect; and the walk along the immense Athabasca glacier will always be remembered. With active days filled with cycling, hiking or horse riding, the Canadian Discovery is the perfect family holiday!
Footloose Family Adventures offers small group camping & lodging discovery tours in USA & Canada. The tours have been specifically designed with the whole family in mind. Plenty of time for relaxation and fun-filled activities, with less time spent 'on the road' allowing the opportunity to get out and enjoy the local sights. As well as making sure the kids are never bored we take away the hassle of driving, planning and organizing your holiday - so you can relax and enjoy yourself as well. Groups are small (max 13 passengers) and you will quickly get to know the other families with whom you are travelling. Minimum age is 8 years old however children aged 6 and 7 will be considered on request.
Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: - Arrive SeattleArrive into Seattle and transfer (not included) to our gateway hotel at your leisure. Rest of day to relax and prepare for your adventure.

Day 2-3: - Seattle & Paul Lake Provincial Park
After a border crossing and scenic drive we set up our lakeside camp in Paul Lake Provincial Park in the heart of British Columbia. Take a stroll along the water's edge or refresh yourself with a swim in the mountain water. Surrounded by glaciers we make our way over Rogers Pass and into Yoho National Park.

Day 4-5: - Yoho National Park
"Yoho" derives from a Cree Indian word for "wonder" or "astonishment" and it fits! Explore the Emerald Lake area or stroll the many nearby trails. Yoho is home to the Kicking Horse river and an exhilarating whitewater rafting adventure for the whole family (optional). Alternatively, take a walk amidst this mountain splendour.

Day 6-8: - Banff National Park
Banff National Park has it all - ride the cable car to the top of Sulphur Mountain where you can take in a 360 degree view of the surrounding landscape. At the bottom, soak in the mountain's natural hot springs before a fun family night in town. The next day why not choose to canoe the Bow River, rent bikes or view the scenic grandeur from a helicopter.

Day 9-10: - Lake Louise & Jasper National Park
We'll have time to explore the turquoise waters of Lake Louise or take a hike to the tea house and be rewarded by the best chocolate cake in Canada. En route to Jasper National Park, we drive along the Icefields Parkway, perhaps the most beautiful road in the world. Strap on your crampons for a fun and safe guided-walk on Athabasca glacier. Despite its remote location Jasper buzzes with energy. Rent bicycles for an easy ride along mountain lakes, streams, and meadows. Catch a glimpse of an elk or a bighorn sheep on your hike, or get a taste of Canadian hospitality wandering the streets of Jasper.

Day 11: - Wells Gray Provincial Park & Vancouver
The scenic Yellowhead Highway brings us to the edge of Wells Gray Provincial Park. Eat a bison burger, take a horseback ride, canoe the wilderness, and stand on the edge of Helmcken Falls. Heading west, Vancouver's beauty looms on the horizon as we approach the coast of British Columbia. This vibrant city offers something for everyone - rich Native American history, beautiful parks and exciting streets of museums and shops. Explore Gastown and Canada Place, cycle or stroll through the seaside Stanley Park, one of the largest and most beautiful city Parks in the world.

Day 12: - Seattle
Saying goodbye to Canada, we head back to Seattle, the coffee capital of the world, where our adventure ends.
Tour ends at 18:00 hours in Seattle on day 12.
