Argentina is a land of extremes, its hectic urban centers contrasting with a staggeringly remote hinterland, and can be simultaneously hot in one region and cold in another. The one common thread is that the people possess a curiosity, passion, and fervor for life, most visible when it comes to football, the national obsession. Evita, the Tango, gauchos and estancias are the country’s clichéd attractions, but what strikes visitors most is that life here is for living – the fast pace only letting up for the afternoon siesta. Argentina’s national parks teem with wildlife and incredible mountainous vistas, while the colossal Perito Moreno Glacier and Iguazú Falls are natural wonders. The Andes offer excellent skiing – the ski-resort of Bariloche being the country’s most established. Horse riding, adventure sports and bird watching are just a few of the other activities on offer throughout the country. Argentina, vastly unexplored and undiscovered by most tourists, is an adventure waiting to happen.

Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Today after clearing customs & immigration formalities at Buenos Aires Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

Buenos Aires continues to be a wonderful combination of sleek skyscrapers, ornate friezes and turn-of-the-last-century grandeur - at once ultrachic and tumbledown, up-to-date and firmly planted in the past. Even before the recent financial troubles, there was always a spirit of malaise in B.A., as it is affectionately known locally, which may help explain the devotion to that bittersweet expression of Argentine popular culture, the tango. Performed in the streets, on stages, in cafes, the sorrowful and romantic nature of the dance is integral to the city.

Located in the heart of Recoleta, the most refined quarter in Buenos Aires, Etoile Hotel is surrounded by magnificent French architecture, museums, shops and restaurants. The hotel boasts the most incredible view of Iglesia del Pilar, the Gardens of Recoleta, Rio de la Plata and Buenos Aires. The hotel consists of 96 spacious rooms, featuring private balcony, Jacuzzi, mini-bar, and cable TV,

Day 2: Buenos Aires
Breakfast at hotel. This morning enjoy a private city tour with your bilingual guide. This tour will take you to all the major sights; the Teatro Colón Opera House, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Government Palace (Casa Rosada), the colorful La Boca district, the tough port barrio and colorful working class heart of Buenos Aires, and San Telmo, home and birthplace of the sultry tango.

The legacy of “Peronismo” is not only the subject of books or mere memories. It has left its mark in the very buildings, squares and neighborhoods that grace this fine city. The second part of your tour includes a visit to the Recoleta Cemetery, where Evita Peron is buried. You will also visit the Palermo neighborhood, located in the north side of the city. With nearly 350 acres of parks, wooded areas, and lakes, Palermo provides a peaceful escape form the rush of downtown.

This evening, meet your driver in the lobby and transfer to an exciting Tango show and dinner. Return to your hotel this evening.

Day 3: Buenos Aires- Bariloche
After breakfast at hotel, you will be driven to the airport for your early morning flight to Bariloche. NOTE: Flight to Bariloche is not included.

When you arrive in Bariloche, you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your hotel for check-in.

You will be confirmed for two nights at the Cacique Inacayal Hotel in a Standard Room, including breakfast. The Cacique Inacayal hotel is perfectly located on the coast of Lake Nahuel Huapi, offering its guests a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountains. It has 67 fully carpeted and equipped rooms. All the rooms are decorated with designer furniture and the bathrooms are equipped with a Jacuzzi.

One of the must-see sights in Argentina, Bariloche is located on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, in the midst of Nahuel Huapi National Park. Bariloche is surrounded by dense forests, alpine lakes and 12,000-ft mountains. This Andean village looks like it belongs in Switzerland. It's easy to see why so many people go - it's in an unbelievably beautiful area.

This afternoon enjoy a private half-day “Circuito Chico” tour. Head up in to the surrounding mountains for breathtaking views of the Cathedral, Lopez and Otto Mountain peaks before descending to Lake Nahuel Huapi and Lake Moreno. A visit to Cerro Campanario with a chairlift up gives you one of the most spectacular views of the area.

Day 4: Isla Victoria
After breakfast at hotel, depart for a full-day tour to Isla Victoria and Arrayanes with an English-speaking guide. The trip begins at Puerto Panuelo located on the Lao Llao Peninsula on Lake Nahuel Huapi. The island is about 11 km away and the boat trip will take about 30 minutes. All the way to Puerto Anchorena you will be awed by the color of the water, the Andean peaks and the abundant vegetation.

Once on the island, our suggestion is to spend time trekking it at your own pace. The island of Isla Victoria is thought to have been inhabited for thousands of years. You can see proof of this from the smoke stained caves and the rupestrian paintings. The island is 20 km long and 4 km wide. From Isla Victoria you continue the trip by boat towards Puerto Quetrihué, located on the south of the peninsula that bears the same name. This trip also takes about 30 minutes and takes you to visit the world famous Myrtle Forest, a unique forest declared a Natural Reserve and Monument.
