Bedouin Trails(Trip #60563)

Tour Overview

Natural Wonders
In recent years Dana Nature Reserve has established itself as one of our clients' favourite places in Jordan. It's the perfect location to begin your active journey on foot to Jordan's most beautiful and special places. After time to discover some of Dana's 1000+ species of flora and fauna, you'll descend a richly vegetated Wadi, to reach the stony desert of Wadi Feynan and an overnight stay in an atmospheric eco lodge.

Ancient Wonders
Transferring south, a night in a Bedouin tent precedes another spectacular day's trekking to the ancient Nabatean city of Petra. Following little-used Bedouin trails and pathways you arrive first at The Monastery, before entering the site proper to see The Treasury and exit via the sinuous siq (gorge). After time to further visit Petra, you head off to discover Lawrence of Arabia's Wadi Rum, before ending your trip with a walk and overnight at the other-worldly Dead Sea.

Responsible Travel
Staying at two properties operated by Jordan's Royal Society of the Conservation of Nature provides invaluable support for their workto protect their country's natural history and promote environmental awareness.
