Petra & The Treasury
Journeying south from Amman, you'll travel via the holy site of Mt Nebo, looking out over the Jordan valley, to Petra. Here you'll descend the narrow and twisting siq - a rock-cut gorge with towering, multi-coloured walls - to discover a myriad of cave dwellings and elaborate rock-cut temples, such as the amazing Treasury. While in Petra there's also the chance to join an optional excursion to the desert sands of Wadi Rum, or for a cruise on the Red Sea at Aqaba.

Floating in the Dead Sea
Leaving Petra you head north to the lowest point on earth - the Dead Sea - stopping en route to visit Kerak, Jordan's most celebrated crusader castle. Renowned for its saline waters, the Dead Sea is a great place to relax either with a gentle float or beside a child-friendly swimming pool. It's a wonderful way to end your trip!

Frequently Asked Questions
What shall we do about car seats?
There are definitely seatbelts in all the vans. If you're travelling with a 1 or 2 year old feel free to bring a full size car seat which can be checked in with the airline as part of your main baggage. Having said this, most people find that a booster seat is sufficient and is certainly more manageable taking in and out of vehicles during your week.

Do we need a pushchair/stroller?
YES! Essential item for the walking tour of Petra. Also perfect for those that are first to crash out in the evening. You can take a stroller through check in and leave it to be stowed as you board the plane.
