Tour Overview
Journeying south from Amman, you'll travel via the holy site of Mt Nebo, looking out over the Jordan valley, to Petra. Here you'll descend the narrow and twisting siq - a rock-cut gorge with towering, multi-coloured walls - to discover a myriad of cave dwellings and elaborate rock-cut temples, such as the amazing Treasury. While in Petra there's also the chance to join an optional excursion to the desert sands of Wadi Rum, or for a cruise on the Red Sea at Aqaba.
Floating in the Dead Sea
Leaving Petra you head north to the lowest point on earth - the Dead Sea - stopping en route to visit Kerak, Jordan's most celebrated crusader castle. Renowned for its saline waters, the Dead Sea is a great place to relax either with a gentle float or beside a child-friendly swimming pool. It's a wonderful way to end your trip!
Responsible Travel
We employ a local Group Leader, stay in locally owned hotels, eat in local restaurants and travel in small groups; all this benefits the local people by providing valuable employment whilst distributing evenly the money we spend. Jordan is a very eco-friendly country and a lot of money is being spent on creating reserves to preserve nature and help the Bedouins set up a viable way to earn an income from these.
