A week to explore the spectacular sites and scenery of Jordan - Petra, Wadi Rum, Jerash and the Red and Dead seasJordan is an ideal destination for a one-week break. It includes the spectacular 'Rose-red city' of Petra and one of the best preserved Roman cities in the Middle East, Jerash. It is also home to some fabulous scenery in the desert at Wadi Rum, where we take a 4WD excursion into the more remote regions and camp out like the Bedouin. There is also time to float in the Dead Sea and snorkel (optional) over the coral reefs of the Red Sea.
Day 1Start Madaba.
Day 2Visit Jerash and Dead Sea.
Day 3Drive down King's Highway to Petra via Madaba, Kerak and Mt Nebo.
Day 4-5Two full days to explore Petra.
Day 6Camp in desert scenery of Wadi Rum; 4WD excursion.
Day 7Morning in Wadi Rum; desert drive to Aqaba. Free afternoon to relax or optional snorkelling over the coral reefs of the Red Sea.
Day 8To Amman; afternoon free.
Day 9End Amman.
