Day 01: Edinburgh, Scotland
Arrive Edinburgh and transfer to your hotel, located in the countryside just outside of Edinburgh. The remainder of the day will be at your leisure. Dalhousie Castle Hotel

Day 02: Edinburgh
Full-day overview tour of Edinburgh. First head up to Edinburgh Castle to see the “Honours of Scotland”, the Scottish Crown Jewels, and enjoy stunning views of the city. You will then continue down the Royal Mile past St. Giles High Kirk to Holyrood Palace, the Queen's Official Residence in Scotland, where you will see the staterooms and royal gallery. You will have some time at leisure to visit some of the shops and have lunch before continuing your tour of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Also visit the New Town, which is one of the finest examples of grand Georgian architecture in the UK. At the end of your tour you will be privately transferred back to your hotel. Dalhousie Castle Hotel (B)

Day 03: Edinburgh – St. Andrews – Inverness
Enjoy a full day journey with your driver-guide and private vehicle, heading north to the Scottish Highlands. Stop en-route in the “kingdom” of Fife and the town of St. Andrews on the North Sea coast. Known throughout the world as the home of golf, St. Andrews was originally the ecclesiastical and educational capital of Scotland. Visit the ruins of the cathedral, destroyed during the Reformation, and St. Andrews Castle. Continue to Inverness where the balance of the day is at leisure. Bunchrew House Hotel (B)

Day 04: Inverness
Spend the day in the company of your driver-guide exploring the region. First, drive to the famous battlefields of Culloden. This is the site of the last battle to be fought on British soil, the Battle of Culloden in 1746 between Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Duke of Cumberland. The desolate fields where the conflict took place have scarcely changed over the past 250 years. Continue on to visit Cawdor Castle; the 14th Century home of the Thanes of Cawdor and reputedly Macbeth’s castle. Today it is considered to be one of the Highland’s most romantic stately homes with its fine collection of rare tapestries, portraits, and furniture and outside its lovely gardens and grounds. You will have plenty of time to visit the lovely rooms of the castle, and return to your hotel this afternoon. Bunchrew House Hotel (B)

Day 05: Inverness – Gleneagles
Spend a final day traveling towards Perthshire. Drive along the River Ness until you reach Loch Ness, home of the fabled monster. View the ruins of Urquhart Castle that dominate the deepest part of the lake and take time for photo stops. Continue along the Great Glen past Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland to Fort William that stands at the head of Loch Linnhe. Continue on to Auchterarder and Gleneagles where the remainder of the day will be at your leisure. The Gleneagles Hotel (B)

Day 06: Gleneagles
Today is at leisure to enjoy the many facilities and activities available at your hotel. The Gleneagles Hotel (B)

Day 07: Gleneagles – Edinburgh – Depart
Transfer to Edinburgh Airport for your departing flight. (B)
