Tour Overview
Aconcagua, at 6962m, is the highest peak in the world outside the Himalaya. While the climb is not technically difficult, the altitude and extremes of temperature require a high level of fitness, concentration and stamina. Our initial trek up the Horcones Valley takes us to base camp (4350m) for several acclimatisation hikes and training excursions before our attempt on the summit via a high altitude camp (5930m). The rewards for our determination are stunning Andean views and the possibility of standing on the roof of the Americas.
