CAMINO DE CUBA(Trip #59725)

Tour Overview

Cuba for the active traveller - explore this beautiful Caribbean island on foot
Exploration of the faded colonial splendour, romantic revolutionaries and soft sandy beaches of Cuba, is all best done on foot. Away from these obvious stereotypes of the island, there is a wealth of rural charm to be found and a genuine warmth of the local people to be discovered. We visit the heritage sites of Old Havana, Trinidad and Santiago de Cuba - where the first shots of the revolution were fired. We also hike to Fidel's jungle hideout and into three of the most mountainous areas of Cuba, spotting humming birds and listening for the distinctive sound of the Tocororo, the Cuban national bird.
