Tour Overview
Rhinos & DeltaThe adventure begins in Khama Rhino Sanctuary where you'll visit several waterholes that are prime habitat for white rhino, zebra and wildebeest. Driving on through the Kalahari you reach Maun - gateway to the Okavango Delta. You'll journey into the waterways by mokoro (dugout canoe) and camp on remote islands in an amazing, unique ecosystem. Spending several days with the local guides gives you the opportunity to learn about their culture.
Wildlife & ZambeziUsing an open-top 4WD vehicle you'll spend two days game viewing in Moremi Game Reserve. Its abundant wildlife includes elephant, hippo and buffalo. The Savuti Marsh grasslands are famous for large prides of lion, whilst Chobe NP supports vast herds of elephants. The finale is a visit to Victoria Falls with various optional activities available.
Don't like camping? If you prefer a few creature comforts at the end of your safari day then why not opt for our Into the Okavango adventure (ref. BH) following a similar itinerary to the Delta to Victoria Falls trip. The main difference is that Savuti is replaced with the chance to visit the ethereal Makgadigadi Pans. You'll be accommodated in pre-erected tents in the Okavango Delta and the rest of your nights will be in lodges and chalets. For full details please contact us or visit our website.
Responsible TravelYour visit to Khama Rhino Sanctuary supports a community-based wildlife project and helps to restore this area and provide economicbenefits to the Batswana people.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to take malaria tablets?Yes. The trip passes through malaria areas and prophylactics are recommended. Consult your doctor or travel clinic 6-8 weeks before departure.
What do I need to bring?A warm sleeping bag, comfortable clothes for warm days and cool evenings, walking shoes, a raincoat, hat and sunglasses, swimsuit and a water bottle. A small pair of binoculars also comes in very handy for wildlife viewing and most importantly - bring a sense of adventure!
Will there be any opportunities to wash my clothes on the trip? There are facilities for hand washing your clothes along the way in Victoria Falls / Livingstone and Maun.
What is the camping like?In the fixed campsites facilities are generally very good, however for most of the trip you will be wild camping so facilities may be basic. This could mean simple reed encolsures around the showers or authentic, wild bush camps which are frequently visited by the local wildlife. All camping equipment is supplied with the exception of your sleeping bag and pillow. You will be housed in three-person dome tents (2 people in each) which are very easy to put up and take down. If you are travelling on your own you will share your tent with another single traveller of the same gender. Tents have built-in insect nets. Mattresses are supplied; they are about 5 cm thick, warm and comfortable. The camp chairs have a backrest so you can relax in comfort round the camp fire each evening. Camping is participative i.e. you will be expected to put up and take down your own tent and help out with camp chores.
Can I buy camera film during the trip?Film and other accessories will be available several times during the trip. A camera with a zoom lens from wide angle to telephoto, 35-200mm, is advisable to capture both scenic and wildlife shots. A cigarette lighter adapter is a must if you want to charge your camera during the trip.
