Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1, SEMINYAK BEACHArrival day.
Day 2, SEMINYAK BEACH – UBUD
Today we drive to Ubud, the cultural centre of Balinese life. There will be time to explore the nearby Monkey Forest, temples, rice paddies and the famous art and craft market in the centre of town. (B)
Day 3, UBUD - LOVINA
Drive towards Bali’s northern coast via the temples of Taman Ayun and Tanah Lot as well as the market at Bedugul. (B)
Day 4, LOVINA
A wonderful day with lots of options. You can head to Menjangan (Deer) Island and spend the day swimming, snorkelling or diving. Alternatively you can get up early for a dolphin cruise. (B)
Day 5, GUNUNG (MT) BATUR – KINTAMANI
We leave the coast and ascend the incredibly scenic slopes of Gunung Batur. En route we will visit the Gitgit Waterfalls with a possibility of a cool swim. We stop at several viewpoints to take in the view of the crater and its lake. Continue to our guesthouse in the Kintamani area. (B)
Day 6, KINTAMANI - PADANG BAI
Optional sunrise walk up Gunung Batur. Head for the lovely fishing village of Padang Bai, surrounded by beautiful beaches. En route we visit the temple at Besakih and the palace and museum at Klungkung. (B)
Day 7, PADANG BAI - LOMBOK
Today we cross by ferry to Lombok and drive to Senaru. (B)
Day 8, SENARU
Optional village walk to visit stunning waterfalls and rice terraces. This evening we will be briefed on our trek up Gunung (Mt) Rinjani. (B)
Day 9, GUNUNG RINJANI TREK
Early start to begin our amazing trek up the slopes of Rinjani. A full day trek will bring us to the rim of this volcanic mountain where we spend the night camping under canvas or the stars. A definite highlight of the trip. (Note: your tour leader can arrange accommodation and transport for those who do not want to participate in the trek). (BLD)
Day 10, GUNUNG RINJANI TREK
Here we take in the spectacular views of Rinjani’s peak, Segara Anak (the crater lake) and the new volcano. We then descend to Senaru and continue to Senggigi and our last night on Lombok’s mainland. (BL)
Day 11, GILI ISLANDS
Ride in cidomos (horsedrawn carts) to the beach to our waiting boat which will take us to the marvellous Gili Islands. (B)
Day 12-13, GILI ISLANDS
Two days to relax on these isolated and very beautiful islands. Opportunities for walking, diving, swimming, snorkelling or just plain relaxing. (B)
Day 14, GILI ISLANDS - SEMINYAK BEACH
Transfer back to Bali and Seminyak Beach, where the tour ends on arrival. (B)
