Day 01: Santiago, Chile
Arrive in Santiago, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in and overnight. Your room will be ready to use upon your arrival. Enjoy an orientation tour of the city. Welcome a’la carte dinner will be at Restaurant “El Otro Sitio”, located in Borde Rio. Hotel NH Ciudad de Santiago (D)Day 02: Santiago - Puerot Montt - Puerto Varas
Transfer to the airport in Santiago to board flight to Puerto Montt. Upon arrival at the airport in Puerto Montt, you will start a visit to the Capital of the 10th Region, located in a protected bay on the Pacific Ocean. Remainder of the day at leisure. Today, enjoy trekking at the famous and beautiful Osorno Volcano. Once inside the Park, and at the foot of Osorno Volcano, we will start the first trekking of the day, by taking “El Solitario” (The Solitary) trail which surrounds the volcano through an evergreen forest towards Petrohue Rapids. Also visit the famous Petrohue Rapids and the rock formations, consisting of granite and graphite (the most solid minerals on Earth) that give form to this breathtaking atmosphere, surrounded by the Santo Domingo mountain range, not mentioning the incomparable panoramic view of Osorno Volcano. A short walk will lead us to a unique spot where we will observe the mixture of the turquoise colors reflect in the torrent waters. The black basalt and the snowed cap of the volcano will be one of the best photographs on this trip.
Enjoy lunch to Ensenada. After, start the last trekking of the day, which will be inside the National Park, from a spot called Petrohue Rapids where there are two different trails for trekking, one of 45 minutes and the other of 25 minutes. Day 04: Puerto Varas - Puerto Montt - Punta Arenas
Morning departure to the airport in Puerto Montt to board flight to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival at the airport, your guide will be waiting for you to start a most complete half-day tour of Punta Arenas, highlighting the best of the city’s museums and historical buildings, the cemetery. Transfer to the hotel, check-in and time at leisure to visit the surrounded areas or some optional excursion. Hotel Cabo de Hornos (B)Day 05: Punta Arenas - Puerto Natales
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, your guide will meet you at the lobby to introduce you with the driver and vehicle of Remota (Spanish speaking driver only.) Drive about 250kms north direction (3 hours approximately) to get Remota Lodge, located in Puerto Natales, the geographical and cultural center of Patagonia. Day 06 & 07: Puerto Natales
Two full days of activities in the area of Puerto Natales, Parque Nacional Bernado O’Higgins and Torres del Paine National Park. All included activities are provided by Remota lodge accompanied by bilingual guides: Puerto Natales and its people, Puerto Bories – Puerto Prat; Milodon cavern and the lakes; Trek to the Sierra Dorotea; Full Day trek to the Sierra Dorotea; Laguna Sofía and its valley; Navigating the fjords and channels towards the glaciers; Wildlife and Mountains in Torres del Paine Nat Park; Forests; Lakes and ice in Torres del Paine Nat Park; Base of the Torres del Paine; Laguna Verde – Puente Weber route; to the western ranches, hike through the valleys and foothills of the Sierra Baguales. In due time, you will be transferred to the airport in Punta Arenas (3 hours land transfer), in order to board flight to Santiago. After 4.5 hour flight, you will be met & greeted by your guide, who will accompany you in a transfer to your hotel. Remaining of the day at leisure. This morning visit to Santa Rita vineyard, located in the Maipo Valley. You will be free to explore the grounds of this delightful vineyard. Your guide will provide a comprehensive guided tour of the premises, before a wine tasting is given, during which you will have the opportunity to sample some of Santa Rita’s finest wines. Lunch will be served at the “Doña Paula” restaurant, currently a National Monument, inside the vineyard. After this visit, you will be transferred back to the hotel, where your room will be available to freshen up and relax after your last transfer to the International airport to board flight back to USA.
