Tour Overview
Angel Falls & RoraimaAfter arriving in Caracas you head straight out to Ciudad Bolivar from where your overflight of the highest waterfall in the world - Angel Falls - begins. Then you head to the south-eastern corner of this huge country to explore the mysterious world of the Tepuys - enormous flat-topped mountains with sheer sides. The most famous of these is Roraima on the border between Guyana, Venezuela and Brazil.
Summit & OrinocoThe plateau on the top of the Tepuy has many strange plants and wildlife, stranded as if on an island in the ocean and you'll spend a day exploring. After descending and passing some stunning scenery and waterfalls you finish on the Orinoco Delta where you canoe on one of the biggest rivers on the continent.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need malaria tablets/a mosquito net?Malaria is endemic in rainforest areas. Consult a doctor on which anti-malarial tablets are best. Take precautions against getting bitten: use mosquito repellent containing DEET on exposed skin, wear light-coloured clothing etc. Mosquito nets can be difficult to set up in hotel rooms and are, in reality, not that practical.
What do I have to carry? You will need to carry your own personal belongings, no more than 8kg. If you would like a full porter service this is available at a cost of $180. It would be best to organise this whilst in the UK.
What do I have to bring?A small personal First Aid kit, plus the recommendations listed in Trip Dossier. You will also need to bring a sleeping bag and mat.
How fit do I have to be?The nature of this trip necessitates a minimum level of fitness and the ability to cope with rugged and unpredictable conditions. Some passengers are affected by the altitude.
